About this Item

Map pre-dates the founding of Lackawanna County in 1878. The state archives indicate the report was as early as 1869. So the map is dated 1875 for purposes of this entry. The map is concise and shows the stateThe color appears to be finely printed. The map show railroads, common roads and canals. The map was printed by Lane S Hart who was the state printed through 1886. Overall, this is a very nice cartographic production that would fit well into Northeast oriented map collection.
