B/w wire photo map 30x21cm captioned in the print, dated 14 Jan 1993. Very good, lightly creased. This was prepared to illustrate a news report on a coalition air strike on 13 Jan. This was the first in a series initiated that month under Operation Southern Watch, in response to Iraqi threats to invade Kuwait again, and incursions into the southern No-Fly Zone. The strike involved 115 Coalition aircraft. The map shows the composition of the strike force (US, British and French, including number and type of planes), where they launched from (Turkey, Khamis Mushayt, Riyadh, Dhahran, USS Kitty Hawk), and their hits, with illustrations of a Stealth Fighter and Tornado.
