This map of Northern and Southern Rhodesia captures the territories at a pivotal moment. In early 1923, both territories were under the administration of the British South Africa Company, although Southern Rhodesia was transitioning to self-governance, officially becoming a British colony later that year. The map highlights key features including railways open, under construction, and projected mines, and game reserves, reflecting the region's infrastructure and natural resources. A note at the bottom emphasizes the British South Africa Company's influence, stating it owned mineral rights across all of Rhodesia and held significant land and mineral concessions in the Bechuanaland and Nyasaland Protectorates.
