Folio (14½" X 17½"). Handsome plat map colored in yellow (page 63) issued in the "Standard Atlas of Jo Daviess County Illinois: Including a Plat Book of the Villages, Cities and Townships of the County." Verso blank. Very good. Moderate even age toning, else clean and unflawed, with none of the edge tears often found on these maps. A nice example of this map, colored entirely in yellow, of this area with the Mississippi River running down the left side -- just south of U.S. Grant's adopted hometown of Galena. Clean margined and with a nice decorative border.
