Add to basketLarge sheet 86x108cm colour printed with main map and 2 insets to each side (one side in English the other in Arabic), folding down into illustrated English and Arabic title panels 13x27cm. Computer production and printing by Esselte Map Service, Stockholm. Neatly folded with closed fold tears, the Arabic side is very good, unmarked and very presentable, but the English side has 4 pink highlighter marks to one of the insets. Scarce. This appears to be the first and only edition. Zakky, a lecturer in Geography at King Saud University, compiled it through extensive fieldwork, surveys and interviews conducted over the previous 24 months. His base map draws on information from the Ministries of Municipal and Rural Affairs, and Communication. He derived neighbourhood boundaries from those used by Municipality branches, the Saudi Consolidated Electric Company, neighbourhood Umddahs (superiors), and the conceptions of residents. The main map centres on Al Murabba bounded by Imam Ibn Saud Islamic University Campus (N), the industrial area and oil refinery at Al Sinaieyah al-Jadeedah (SE), and Dhrat Laban (W) and includes old Diriyyah on a 1/60K scale (grid referenced A-P 17-34). Two large insets zoom in on the areas bounded by G-J 22-28 and H-J 28-31 respectively on a 1/20K scale. The former extends from Al Murabba (S) to the Old Airport area (N). Extensive indexes list Quarters and streets, with colour coding for Government departments and landmarks, ministries, education, health centres, major companies and establishments, public markets and business complexes, cultural landmarks, recreation, banks and money exchanges, hotels, airlines, magazine and newspaper offices, and foreign government offices. Other details include several classes of road and street, actual and proposed.

SHIPPING: Domestic and international shipping is tracked and insured with UPS. This has unfortunately meant an increase in domestic rates especially, and in most cases I am absorbing some of the increase. (I have moved away from Royal Mail owing to a series of problems).
