Alexandria harbour. Mediterranean Sea Egypt. ADMIRALTY sea chart 1938 (1954) map. Large British nautical sea chart. Sea charts such as this were working navigational aids which were commonly updated and corrected during their working lives by hand annotation and/or printed overlays. They may also feature manuscript navigational notes, comments or other markings; Surveyed by Commanders N.A.C. Hardy & A. Day R.N. assisted by Lieut. Commrs. W.H.D Dickinson & D.W. Deane R.N. 1935-1936. Inner Harbour and Outer Harbour resurveyed by Lieut-Commr. R.H. Connell, D.S.C., R.N., 1943 with additions from surveys by the Egyptian Ports & Lighthouses Administration to 1943. The topography is taken chiefly from the Survey of Egypt Maps with corrections to 1944 (Surveyed 1935-1943. Published 1938. New edition 1944. Corrections to 1954). 69.5 x 102.5cm, 27.25 x 40.25 inches; this is a folding map. Condition: Good. There is nothing printed on the reverse side, which is plain. Seller Inventory # P-9-000177
