Add to basketA map of the road from London to Edinburgh. Sale 3 miles to an inch. Undated, but I estimate it to be from the 1930s. This is an unusual map in that, when opened out, it is 3000cms (3.00 meters .10 feet) long and 18 cms (7 inches) wide. It then concertina-folds to a size of 10 x18 cms (4.25 x 7.25 inches) between stiff card boards. The blue cloth covering the boards is starting to fray, but overall, the item is in good condition and quite sturdy. The green shading alongside the route marked on the map is, it says, .'an attempt has been made to show the contour of the main Edinburgh to London routes by means of a green line of varying width. The vertical scale is ten times the horizontal'.
