About this Item
Asher & Adams produced an atlas in which the railroads received heightened designation making them stand out as a theme for their tome. Dominating the landscape is the Union Pacific Railroad, the first transcontinental railroad. Originally completed to Council Bluffs for connection to the east, two railroads met it at Kearney Nebraska to cut off the traffic. East of the 97th meridian is a bevy of railroad proliferation.
