Published in Paris in 1764 by Jacques-Nicolas Bellin (1703-1772), cartographer and hydrographer of the Dépôt des cartes et plans de la Marine. The city appears in expansion, with plots still unbuilt within the walls. A wall protects it on the south, east and west; to the north, the old course of the Lima river (now the Rímac) and the relief act as a natural defence. The legend, in French, marks the Viceroy's Palace, the Cathedral, the Town Hall and the hospital. The title and scale are in the upper left corner, within a cartouche. -------------------- Plano detallado de la ciudad de Lima, centrado en su casco histórico.
