_____The black & white map is 31.75 x 21" and scaled 5 miles to the inch._____ Folded and mounted into paper covers (7.5 x 4.5")._____ Originally edge-tipped inside the front cover the map is now loose. _____ ._____It shows section lines, towns, named geographical features and the line of The Oregon Eastern Railway ("Under Construction")._____ There are separation borders for the lands of the Pacific Live Stock Company and Blitzen Valley Land Co. perhaps pointing to the organizers of this promotional effort._____ Interestingly, at this comparatively late date there a couple of large blank sections north-northwest and southwest of Alvord Lake labeled "Unsurveyed.". _____ The seven page text section in the rear provides advantageous descriptions of: Harney County, Harney Valley, Blitzen Valley, Silver Creek Valley, Warm Springs Valley, Malheur Lake, Catlow Valley and Alvord Valley. _____ There are three archival reinforcements to edge tears on the rear side of the map, none longer than 4". _____ WorldCat (09/21) shows a single holding (Or-HS)._____.…
