Eric Riback is president of Bella Terra Publishing and has been in the map business since 1980. He is a former president of the International Map Industry Association and NorthEast Map Organization. As a pre-teen in the Bronx, he had a great Lionel layout and a striped engineer's hat. Beyond regular rides on the New York City subways, his first rail memories are taking the New Haven Railroad from Grand Central Terminal to visit his grandparents, and a steam engine trip on the Strasburg Rail Road.
Editor and art director Bella Stander is publisher of Bella Terra Publishing. A former contributing editor to Publishers Weekly, her book reviews and interviews have appeared in other publications including The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Entertainment Weekly and WildRiverReview.com. She always takes a river-view seat when riding the MTA Hudson Line or Amtrak Empire Service.
