Germania Nach der Religion. Issued 1733, Salzburg. Rare early 18th century miniature map with original hand color. Note the two Christian saints in the bottom corners holding crucifixion crosses aloft. Brussels has a tiny picto-gram to represent it's status. Signs of age, handling, small staining, short split at top near centerfold, map possibly once separated down centerfold and now nicely rejoined. Map displays well, looks nice under close examination! Tiny picto-grams for several cities. Old paper repairs on reverse along centerfold and along bottom edge.(see pic of reverse). Original centerfold. Remains attractive. Very scarce/ rare miniature copper engraved map due to imprint location and date. Map sheet measures c 5 3/8” H x 5 3/4” W. B15403.
