Half title with three excise stamps and a list of books printed for Mount and Page on the verso. Separate title page for the Table of Difference. Woodcuts and diagrams in the text. Half title and C2 a little frayed on blank margins. Occasional ink stains and fingermarks, but overall in very good condition for a manual which has been used on board ship. The kalendar first appeared in 1676. By the 1730s it had become an annual publication, hence its treatment as an almanac for duty purposes. It continued to be published until the 1780s. Because of its ephemeral nature and its use as a work tool, relatively few copies have survived. This edition is ESTC N34836 with a single copy recorded in Buffalo & Erie County Public Library in the US and no copies recorded in UK.
