It is equally clear that the U.S.A benefitted enormously from the British empire’s demise and thirst for supplies. It is quite clear that Roosevelt did not plan this massive profit but U.S. business engineered the massive profits from the war trade.Who won? Well, the world won overall from Britain’s sacrifices. Britain lost enormously and the developing world was set upon a path of amazing growth. Wars always bring loss to many but advantages to many nations and individuals.
