Seconda edizione (la prima era apparsa nel 1592), di questo prezioso e non comune volumetto sull'antica storia civile e religiosa di Milano, scritto dal Bascapè (1550-1615; Giovanni Francesco, al secolo Carlo dopo l'ingresso nella Congregazione dei Barnabiti), collaboratore ed amico di Carlo Borromeo, dal 1593 vescovo di Novara, autore di numerose opere che spesso pubblicava sotto lo pseudonimo di ''Basilicapetri''. Ottimo esemplare, assai fresco (minime arrossature al primo e all'ultimo foglio), timbro sbiadito di biblioteca estinta al frontespizio, ex libris e timbro a secco della collezione di Giannalisa Feltrinelli.
