Item description from seller

8vo, [16] plus unpaginated lexicon in double column; old ownership inscription on verso of title with light show-through on title page, else a near fine copy in recent half calf over marbled boards. An important edition, incorporating the names and descriptions of hundreds of English and Welsh towns, with their market-days, government, manufactures, distances from London, etc. It was partially due to this gazetteer-like entry that the work remained popular with the public. Alston V, 145.
