Provenance of all is the Library of Congress Pamphlet Collections. All are papers wrappers, and the majority are at least in VERY GOOD condition?all items are in at least GOOD condition. Hays (1879-1954) was a prominent American political figure who was president of the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America (MPPDA, later called the Motion Picture Association of America) from 1922 to 1945. Because of his pervasive influence on the censorship office of the association, it was known as the Hays Office, and the set of guidelines it enforced, the Motion Picture Production Code, became known as the Hays Code."--Britannica Also note: included are 8 mimeographed/offset reports from the oiginal typed sheets.
