Includes: 1) program for Bloolips in Sticky Buns by Jon Taylor at Gifford House in New York, NY, 1984. Artwork by NYC cartoonist Don Herron; 2) program (2 included here) of Bloolips in Living Leg-ends at Pilgrim House in Provincetown, MA, 1985; 3) one-page flyer for Bloolips in Living Leg-Ends for their May 1985 performance at Nettlefold Hall in London; 4) 8" x 10" publicity black and white photo of the Bloolips troupe, with "Photo by Gaye Thompson" stamped on reverse. Bloolips was founded in 1977 by British drag queen Bette Bourne (1939-2024) (described in one of the programs as "the greatest diva in the whole world") and found success in America, where they won an Obie Award in 1980. Bourne noted that Bloolips was "hitting out at the far right, especially the religious right" (see: https://www.frieze.com/article/pictures-bloolips-and-empowering-joy-dressing).Scarce.
