The compilers of the 1958 Supplement to AII/Ks (p.78) were able to catalog this item based only upon its appearance in a newspaper article. "This invitation issued to Mr. H.S. Silver was reproduced in the Winfield Daily Courier, February 16, 1948. ____ It was then in the possession of Mary Jane Brock." ____ We here offer that very copy of the invitation issued to Mr. Silver. ____ It is apparently the unique surviving specimen, and must help mark the first inning of baseball in Kansas. ____ Single sheet, 7 x 8.75", folded to form two leaves, then folded again (after issue?), a couple of the folds have started to split. ____ Only the front panel is occupied by text, the rear is discolored from old scrapbook glue.
