Included are the invitation, enclosed in a United States Senate envelope with a stamped number and the designation "Inaugural Platform", and accompanied by portraits of Wilson and his Vice President, Thomas R. Marshall. Also included is the brochure, "Inauguration Ceremonies" giving the precise composition and timing of all processions and seating arrangements. Participants congregated in the Senate Chamber, watched from above by those in the Senate Reserved Gallery, the Diplomatic Gallery, The Press Gallery and The Ladies' Gallery. Following ceremonies in the Senate Chamber, which included the Vice President's Inaugural Speech, a carefully orchestrated procession moved to the outdoor Inaugural Platform. All horses and carriages were to have been left outside the Capitol grounds. Finally included are four passes allowing the holders "to pass across route of parade, but not to obstruct procession." All pieces in very fine condition. An interesting piece of U.S. history.
