An Original Hand Written Letter Signed by Sir Theodore Martin. Dated 1873. A letter to a Sir John about a book he has written and how much he liked it. Sir Theodore Martin 1816-1909 was a Scottish poet, biographer, and translator. He is probably best known for his Life of the Prince Consort (1874?80), the writing of which was entrusted to him by Queen Victoria, a work which won him her lifelong friendship. All overseas orders with priority shipping (8 days+) will be sent by either tracked airsure or international signed for. The slower postal rates (14 days +) will be sent by standard airmail and will take longer to arrive.
