An Original Handwritten and Signed Paper by Composer Sir Adrian Cedric Boult. Undated. Sir Adrian Cedric Boult, 1889 ? 1983 was a British conductor. Brought up in a prosperous mercantile family, he followed musical studies in England and at Leipzig, Germany, with early conducting work in London for the Royal Opera House and Sergei Diaghilev's ballet company. His first prominent post was conductor of the City of Birmingham Orchestra in 1924. When the British Broadcasting Corporation appointed him director of music in 1930, he established the BBC Symphony Orchestra and became its chief conductor. The orchestra set standards of excellence that were rivalled in Britain only by the London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO), founded two years later. Size is 185mm x 115mm. Condition is good. Orders usually shipped within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know if extra shipping is required.
All overseas orders with priority shipping (8 days+) will be sent by either tracked airsure or international signed for. The slower postal rates (14 days +) will be sent by standard airmail and will take longer to arrive.
