About this Item
A large album containing scraps relating to both freshwater and saltwater fishing. 133 pages filled with newspaper cuttings, photographs, clippings from magazines, engravings, chromolithographs, cartoons and cuttings from magaiznes such as Punch and The Fishing Gazette, a watercolour painting, a menu, fishing club memorabilia etc.Size; 27.5 x 36.5 cms or 10 3/4 x 14 1/2 inches. A few dates amongst the pages would suggest it was put together in the 1890s. Card covers with Pictorial scraps written on the front in gilt lettering. The spine, now missing, was leather. The corners of the cover are leather. Condition: Very Good. The spine of the book is missing. The binding still holds together well. The pages, whilst tanned and occasionally marked by spots of foxing and other blemishes, are in the main clean. A heavy book that will require additional postage if shipped outside of the UK.
