A group of ephemera published for educators attending the 77th annual convention of the National Education Association, held in 1939 in San Francisco. Includes eight (8) items in total, with an original envelope. Founded in 1857, the NEA represents public school teachers and related education professionals, and remains the largest labor union in the nation today. The present booklets provides a fascinating look into the state of the education profession in 1939, including the challenges facing educators at the time including retirement planning, tenure, curriculum development, rural education, behavior management and child psychology, and vocational guidance.
