Bound in half calf red leather over red cloth boards. with raised bands, bright gilt-titling and intricate tooling (armourial lions) within the compartments. And gilt top edges. Original bound and Sold by Henry Sotheran London In very good conditions. Lovely smart leather bindings. Volume two has small faint mark centre of spine, near front hinge. No penned inscriptions. Inside a few very light foxing spots, half title pages a little tanned on edges, else very clean, bright and tight throughout. A very clean and tight 1st edition Churchill set in fine leather binding. pp.[4] 612; pp.651 [1]; pp.[2] 608 [2]; pp.671 [1].
