Kristoffer "Kris" Kristofferson, born on June 22nd, 1936, Brownsville, Texas, U.S, is an actor and singer-songwriter, who wrote and recorded the songs "Me and Bobby McGee", "For the Good Times", "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down", and "Help Me Make It Through the Night". Kristofferson both composed his own songs and collaborated with Nashville songwriters, including Shel Silverstein.
