About the Author:
Archie Satterfield first came to Washington to work on wheat farms while in college, then stayed on to get a degree from the University of Washington. He worked on newspapers for 16 years, was founding editor of a regional magazine, Northwest Living, and has been a fulltime writer for nearly 20 years.The illustrations and interior design are by Sharon Schumacher, a book designer and illustrator now living in Los Angeles.
