The Delaware Valley (including Philadelphia and its suburbs) is one of the fastest growing regions of the mid-Atlantic states. Parents who live or plan to move there will find this a time-saving guide through the maze of child-rearing options and opportunities. Topics include selecting maternity and child health care, finding the right day care center, and choosing the best school for each child's needs. Outings both fun and educational are stressed, with emphasis on museums, libraries, parks, and nature centers. Day-to-day matters, e.g., toy shopping, dining out, birthday parties, are well covered.
