From the Author
The inspiration for the Philadelphia book happened four years ago while I was visiting Boston with my daughter Emily, who was 2. As the parent I carried a travel guide and looked up all the sites to see, Emily wasn't complaining, but I felt a little guilty. I was feeling that she was left out. It's easy for adults to travel but it's extra special when you can involve children in the process. I conceived the guides as a way to make children and parents partners in trip planning.
