Synopsis
In I'm Not Coming Out!, Little Gator finds leaving the safety and comfort of his egg too scary! So he has decided to stay inside his egg even though all his brothers and sisters have hatched, and even though his mother pleads with him to come out . . . But what he discovers is that even he has to grow up eventually! After a while, his egg just won't hold him anymore, and so out he comes "with a grunt and a plop." He finds that growing up can be a lot of fun as he tries new things and makes new friends. He discovers that he knows how to swim. He meets a turtle and a little sand crab, and, of course, there are all his brothers and sisters. By the end of the day, Little Gator has a whole new way of looking at things! And like all little gators who have had a busy day, he is ready to find his nest, curl up, and get a good night's rest.
