About the Author
B.J. Brockington is a nurse practitioner and Bentley is her dog. They live in San Diego, California. B.J. was introduced to Bentley who is a maltese poodle at a time in her life when she felt like hope and loyalty was not achievable. She was asked to take Bentley for a small amount to help find him a home. She had never had any pets and couldn't understand the fascination of having animals in the home. She took Bentley and learned with the help of trainers and friends how to take care of Bentley. She and Bentley grew to share a strong bond that just grows deeper everyday. Bentley goes to the hospital and makes rounds on some of B.J.'s patients and helps cheer them up. Bentley has a special light around him that B.J. wants to share him with others so that they too will feel the wonderful experience that she had by giving yourself to someone or an animal in need. This book is for children, dog lovers, and those who have been touched by their pet!
