Synopsis
As Elissa sits in her rocking chair, she informs her three grandchildren—Charles, Nancy, and Reginald—of her wild journey as a young teenager, venturing out to find her place in the world. From high school to the shores of Bali and to the numerous losses she has encountered throughout her lifetime—now a ninety-year-old “Grandma Liss,” as she is known, explores the existential crisis of finding one’s true tune through all the noise which surrounds her. As she sits by the fireplace alongside her three grandchildren, she tells her life’s story, not only by recollections but reliving her memories as well.
Back then, Elissa was a regular teenager making regular mistakes. She found her life quite peculiar but soon realized that it was not. One mistake after another led to some of the most beautiful moments of her life but none more so than the ones she spent with her friends all those years ago.
