Kinthissa is an experienced Taijiquan practitioner and teacher. She studied Far Eastern art and philosophy at Vassar College, New York and at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.a In London she encountered the Taijiquan she had glimpsed as a child on the way to school. Born in Rangoon, Burma in 1952, Kinthissa has taught in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Russia and Spain and studied Flying Crane Qigong, Sword Form and 48 Form in China. In 1995 she met a leading practitioner of Chen Style Taijiquan, ChenXiaoWang. This led her to completely change the form of Taijiquan she practises and her approach to this delicate art. She lives in Lunigiana in Italy.
