Judi Baller-Fabian spent her career in publishing in Boston and New York and has taught adult ESL. An avid reader, she never leaves the house without a book and loves to lose herself in a bookstore. It was on her first trip to Fort Hancock and History House that the idea for this novel was born. She says, "I walked through that mysterious old house and wondered: what would happen if someone could go back in time... If they could become someone else?" A weaver of tales, this is her first novel. Judi lives with her husband and their three cats in Jersey City, New Jersey.
