WANNA BE is a poetry book about becoming a commodity and dying broke anyway. From John Henry to Whoopi Goldberg, this work examines exactly what is so profitable about appealing to white audiences. TOASTER’s first full length book of poetry is a hilarious, biting journey through entrapment, validation and the resurgence of joy.
