Epilepsy is a chronic disorder of the brain that affects people worldwide. It is characterized by recurrent seizures, which are brief episodes of involuntary movement that may involve a part of the body (partial) or the entire body (generalized), and are sometimes accompanied by loss of consciousness and control of bowel or bladder function. A large number of people live with epilepsy did not feel different from others, and epilepsy did not affect their lives or present any extra difficulties for them in day to day activities except when seizure attack does. By exploring the sociocultural problems in this country context this study explores several new dimensions of problems faced by our population that can be explained by trends of our culture and geographical locations. It may not reflect the complete picture of this group of patients, but it can be assume that, this study will be a milestone study for this country and hope to pave the path for future research in this topic.
