About the Author:
Daniel Capano is a control systems engineer at the firm of Malcolm Pirnie. He has more than a dozen years of experience in instrumentation and control systems in a number of large projects, including New York City's sludge dewatering plant and the Boston Harbor Project. He is also a former ISA president. Brian J. McPartland is an electrical consultant and editor of Electrical Design and Installation magazine.
