Compellling, highly regarded translations of classic texts include Richmond Lattimore's translation of The Iliad, Robert Fagles' translation of The Odyssey, Alan Sullivan and Tim Murphy's translation of Beowulf, J. R. R. Tolkien's translation of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, and Edward Seidensticker's translation of Shikibu's The Tale of Genji.
