About the Authors

Mari Vargo holds an M.A. in English from San Francisco State University. She has authored numerous ELT textbooks and online educational materials for a wide range of audiences, including community colleges, universities, corporations, and primary and secondary schools.

Laurie Blass is a writer and editor specializing in print and digital English Language Teaching materials. She has an M.A. in Linguistics and a TESL certificate from the University of Pittsburgh and has taught ESL in the United States and France. She is the author/co-author of over 40 ELT titles representing a wide range of audiences, from adult education to English for academic purposes.

John Hughes is an award-winning ELT author with thirty years' experience of teaching and teacher training. He has worked with learners and teachers from all over the world and is a well-known conference presenter. For National Geographic Learning, he is an author on the course series Life, World English, Third Edition World Link, Fourth Edition, Success with Business, and Total Business.
