From Library Journal Hart focuses on the role played by communication skills in children's development of self-esteem. She points out that faulty communication skills may lead to low self-esteem, then indicates what communication techniques increase self-esteem. She also examines the role of parents in increasing self-esteem: since most parents instinctively raise their children as they themselves were raised, they often repeat negative patterns that can enforce low self-esteem. Hart explains how to break away from such patterns. An inspiring book that can improve the quality of family life.
