Bob Books Complex Words uses many words with short vowels, but also offers practice with word endings such as -ed and -ing, digraphs such as sh and ch, consonant blends such as sp- and -st, r-controlled vowel sounds such as -ar, and select vowel combinations. The longer word counts of these silly and surprising stories help kids build reading endurance.
