About the Author
Suzanne Lang is the author of the New York Times bestselling Grumpy Monkey books as well as several other titles. When she’s not writing books, Suzanne writes for animation. When she’s not doing that, she hangs out with her very funny kids, feeds her many pets, and tries (but usually fails) to take a nap!

Baby-Toddler—This board book adaptation of Families! Families! Families! (Random, 2015) keeps all of the charm and inclusiveness of the picture book edition while simplifying illustrations for the younger target audience. Vividly colored solid backgrounds have replaced the wallpapers of the original while continuing to feature the whimsical animal families of all shapes, sizes, and species. The friendly, cartoon-style animals are arranged as if posed for formal family portraits until they all come together to interact and celebrate the message of the final spread. The details provide a wealth of interactions between the families that toddlers can pore over during repeat readings. The final message ("If you love each other, then you are a family") makes this a much-needed title for all kinds of families. The illustrations will appeal to fans of Sandra Boynton's board books.
