About the Author:

Patti DiMiceli is a "Student of Life" and throughout hers, she has learned heart-touching, spirit-lifting lessons to help us move from pain to power... from grief to greatness... from tragedy to triumph. Through her writing, she opens the door to her heart, her life, her dreams, her humanity, and leaves the reader wanting more, much more. Born and raised in California, she treasures the memories of the time before the "Boom." "There was no smog or traffic jams or crowded spaces. I loved taking off with my brothers and sister for the whole day, riding our bikes into the countryside, sliding down hills of dried grass on flattened cardboard boxes, and skateboarding down the mountain roads!" she remembers. After living through the "Hippie Time" of the 70's, she moved to the East Coast and was instantly captivated by the sense of family tradition, the change of seasons, and the celebration of cultures and holidays. It is still her home today. Her career path has been interesting, to say the least, and each job has added to the tapestry of her life. Currently, she has two more books "on the back burner:" "Walking Through the Metaphorest with Annie," a collection of insights she receives daily as she walks through the forest with her Jack Russell, Annie.
