About the Author:

Barbara Juliette Klinger was born and educated in Poland where early on she discovered her love of the poetry and literature of Polish authors as well as those of international repute. After immigrating to the United States she dedicated her whole life to family, as companion to her physician husband and mother of their children. To maintain her creative spirit, in her spare time she wrote poetry and soon became recognized as a distinguished member of The International Society of Poets. Over the years she has been published in many anthologies including the featured first page of the collection, "Celebration of Poets: Showcase Edition". Eventually she published her own book of poetry, the highly acclaimed “Lost in a Maze of Dreams”. Barbara is also an accomplished artist and provided the cover artwork for this book. “The Song of the Locust” is her first novel for young adults, inspired by her own life experiences and relationships with her family, especially her granddaughter Rachel. True to form, Barbara is already at work on her next novel.
