About the Author:

Leah Friedman, Ph.D. After an early career as an audiologist, Leah dedicated herself to marriage and family before becoming in midlife a still-life photographer exploring symbolic imagery of the unconscious. These images led to a deep interest in Jungian psychology. At age 69 she entered a doctoral program in Mythological Studies at Pacifica Graduate Institute—she was the oldest student in her class—and received her degree at age 73. Leah’s experience in developing and conducting rituals is recounted in her book, The Power of Ritual. She has also written a memoir, Leafings & Branchings.
