Every day, chubby toddler Tilly plays treasure-hunting games with her parents. Her mother hides her breakfast banana in the laundry basket, her father hides her rabbit doll in the tool chest, and Tilly sometimes even hides herself at bedtime! Allan Ahlberg's engaging story cherishes the comfort of family playfulness and ritual: "My treasure!" cries Tilly each time she finds a hidden item. And "My treasure!" cries each of her smiling parents when they find their mischievous daughter hiding behind a curtain, fuzzy bunny slippers showing all the while. Gillian Tyler's watercolors are filled with reassuring details: when Mom and Dad "hide" from Tilly on a walk in the woods, Tyler depicts them huddled conspicuously behind a tiny sapling. About the Author

Allan Ahlberg is one of the most acclaimed and successful authors of children's books, particularly in partnership with his wife Janet, who died in 1994. Among his numerous classic picture books are the Jolly Postman books; Burglar Bill; Peepo! and Each Peach Pear Plum. Allan's other books for Walker include the Red Nose Readers series; The Mysteries of Zigomar; Monkey Do!; Mockingbird; The Bravest Ever Bear; The Snail House; and the Gaskitts series: The Man Who Wore All His Clothes, The Woman Who Won Things and The Cat Who Got Carried Away.
