About the Author


Andrew Fraknoi is an award-winning science educator and the author of fourteen books on astronomy and astronomy education, including Voyages through the Universe, one of the leading astronomy textbooks in the world.  Dr. Fraknoi served as the Executive Director of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, an international scientific and educational organization, and is currently the Chair of the Astronomy Program at Foothill College in California.  He is also the founder of Project ASTRO, a program that brings professional astronomers into 4th- through 9th-grade classrooms at thirteen regional sites throughout the United States.
