About the Author

Helen D. Hume taught painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, commercial art, photography, and art history, and served as art department head, for over 30 years at Parkway West High School, St. Louis, MO. Currently a teacher-trainer for elementary art teachers, she is also the author of A Survival Kit for the Secondary Art Teacher, Art History & Appreciation Activities Kit and American Art Appreciation Activities Kit, all published by Prentice Hall, and a board member of the St. Louis Artists' Guild.
