Review:
"a beautiful...stunningly attractive book...wonderful and heavily researched with an enormous number of illustrated examples." - Michael Sporn Animation Splog --Michael Sporn Animation Splog

"MacLean's rich and well-researched book provides a compelling argument for the role of animation layout in achieving good cinematography, set design, lighting and form. It contains beautiful visuals and provides illustrations from masters of their art; the Maurice Noble and Philip De Guard examples were notable for me. Fascinating and highly recommended." - Nigel Newbutt, senior lecturer in media and digital cultures (Bath Spa University) --The Times Higher Education Supplement
