From School Library Journal:
Grade 7 Up-Each chapter contains information about weather conditions and types of pollution, their causes and dissemination, geographical distribution, and historical occurrences. In "Natural Polluters," for example, information is provided on volcanoes, including types; their effect on weather and climate; and major eruptions such as Tambora (1815), Krakatau (1883), and Mount St. Helens (1980). Well-written, somewhat dense chapters provide enough material for students researching meteorology, climatology, and the environment. Black-and-white illustrations, maps, and charts are scattered throughout the text but do not enhance the volume; several are either difficult to view, poorly captioned, or not particularly illuminating. Libraries needing a resource devoted to air pollution and its consequences will find this a satisfactory purchase.
